During its existence, the company has undergone a number of changes, the last of the significant changes that occurred during 2003 was the privatization of the company and its subsequent merger with Slévárna barevných kovů, spol. s r.o. The merger of the two resulted in a company that is the legal successor of Slévárna barevných kovů and bears the business name Vítkovické slévárny, spol. s r.o. In May 2013, Vítkovické slévárny, spol. s r.o. became the owner of a 100% share of INPROMA spol. s r.o., based in Křinec near Nymburk, and subsequently in 2014 it also became the owner of a 100% share of ME-Metal, s.r.o. in Droužkovice u Chomutova.
